Posted on June 28, 2018

As part of Fort Saskatchewan’s Canada Day celebrations, the 1875 North West Mounted Police Fort at the Fort Heritage Precinct will be open, free of charge, from 1pm – 6pm on July 1, 2018! The Warden’s Residence gift shop will be open as well, and costumed interpreters and volunteers will be stationed throughout the Fort to interact with visitors. We are especially excited to welcome Running Thunder, a group of Indigenous dancers, who will be performing in the NWMP Fort at 1:15pm.

"Amazing learning connections were made between our study of past and present and your program. Lunch facilities were great. The games and hands on activities we played were so much fun. So many happy faces to be spending time in jail! The tour of village were also extremely well done. Again, the children were kept engaged and involved. The mock trial was great fun. I can’t say enough about your program It is absolutely fanstastic. Your staff does an outstanding job leading the children."
