Hear Our Voices: Michel People & Residential Schools is a travelling multimedia exhibit that shares the stories and experiences of members of the Michel Band while exploring the intergenerational effects of Canada’s residential school system.
Through personal video testimonies and historical information, visitors are invited to listen, learn, and reflect on the lasting impacts that continue to be felt today.

About the Exhibition
This multimedia exhibition shares first-hand experiences of the Residential School system as told by members of the Michel Band. Through recorded testimonies and historical context, the exhibit encourages visitors to deepen their understanding of this history and its ongoing impacts on Indigenous communities and families.
Created by the Friends of Michel Society, the exhibition is presented by the City of Fort Saskatchewan and supported in part by Dow. Special thanks to the Fort Saskatchewan Historical Society for supporting public access to the exhibition on Saturdays.
