Thank you for another wonderful Autumn season at the History Centre! The schools that visited us in October helped to get our facilitators warmed up for a busy 2014.
New for the 2013/2014 programming year is an appreciation gift that the History Centre, and its sponsors, presents to returning schools to thank them for their continued patronage. Each class will receive one classroom set of the novel study Friends in a New Land, by Elaine Essien, complete with a teacher’s manual. We hope you enjoy it!
2014 is fast approaching and with a new year comes jammed packed winter and spring seasons at the History Centre. Haven’t booked a date yet? If you are able to squeeze in a visit to the History Centre in January, we currently have 3 dates available – Thursday January 16th, Thursday January 23rd, and Thursday January 30th. Does your school have early dismissal on Thursdays? No problem! We have a modified program schedule that allows your class to arrive back at your school for 2pm. If you require a modified schedule, please indicate that you have early dismissal in your registration.
From all of the staff at the History Centre and the Fort Saskatchewan Museum & Historic Site, we wish you the happiest of holidays and look forward to seeing you in the new year.
